The Santiago Fitness Center Pool is a 25 yard long heated pool for swimming all year long. The pool features zero depth entry to allow for ease of access in and out. 

Additonal Features:

  • 3 lanes reserved for lap training.

Regeneration Room

A first-of-its-kind initiative for the Navy, the Regeneration Room is a dedicated space for service members and their families to recover. This room features state-of-the-art recovery and relaxation equipment that aids in faster recuperation and mind-body relaxation. Regeneration activities improve flexibility and tissue quality. Regeneration increases energy, boosts the immune system and helps you get the most out of each training session, ultimately improving performance.

Equipment

Relaxation equipment includes zero gravity heated chairs, compression sets, core meditation trainers, noise cancelling headphones, massage chairs and guns, foam rollers, stretch trainer, stretch bands and more.

Santiago Fitness Center

Events

Santiago Fitness Center is a 25,695 square foot building that includes a weight/cardio floor, group fitness room, classroom, 2 racquetball courts, basketball court with volleyball options, family fitness area, 3 family restrooms and a men’s and women’s locker room.  A boxing room with a heavy bag, speed bag and pull-up bars are being installed.

Weight room has both selectorized and plate loaded machines, dumbbells 5 to-125 pounds, kettle bells, and barbells.  Cardio equipment includes treadmills, upright cycles, step mill, rowers, recumbent cycle, Versa climber ski machine, assault air cycles,  steppers, ellipticals and Arc trainers.  The group fitness room is fully equipped for all formats including spinning. The classroom is used for various training workshops including Mission Nutrition, Command Fitness Leader Certification Classes, NOFFS Workshops, First Aide/CPR/AED classes and social gatherings.  The racquetball courts can convert to Wallyball courts.  The cardio/family area has a play area for small children. The basketball court can convert into 2 smaller courts or 2 volleyball courts.

The outside facilities include a year round, heated, 25 meter pool, a lighted Astro-turf multipurpose field for football and soccer, a softball field, TRX  frame and a running track. Two tennis courts and outside basketball court are located on base. The Sims Family Fitness Trail is a 1.5 mile trail with nine fitness equipment stations located near the front gate.

Sports

Intramurals

NASK offers a diverse selection of intramural sports year-round, with programming that spans all seasons. Additionally, seasonal tournaments and competitions are held, providing an exciting opportunity for friendly competition. The Captain's Cup program allows commands to compete for the prestigious title of top athletic command, earning ultimate bragging rights.

 

Courts/Fields

The Racquetball court can be converted into Wallyball, and the basketball court can be used or reserved for a variety of sports and fitness needs. Additionally, the basketball court is lined to allow up to three indoor pickleball courts to be utilized at the same time.

Outdoor facilities lighted Astro-turf multipurpose football field, as well as a natural grass dirt infield softball field.

Captain’s Cup Overview:

The Captain's Cup is a competitive program where commands compete for the honor of being named the top athletic command at NASK. This thrilling competition fosters camaraderie, teamwork, and pride amongst our US Navy Personnel. The 2025 Captain Cup schedule is available for download, as well as a document that has more information regarding disruption of points per league and tournament and who is eligible to play.
